About Peter
I am a Person-Centred Counsellor passionate about creating a safe, compassionate space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment. Whether you’re seeking support for a specific challenge or simply need a place to pause and reflect, I am here to walk alongside you on your journey.
My approach is grounded in empathy and respect, recognising the unique experiences and strengths that each person brings. Over the years, I have developed a special interest in working with LGBTQ+ individuals, honoring the courage it takes to embrace and express your authentic self. I also have a deep commitment to supporting carers, understanding the emotional toll that comes with looking after loved ones. Together, we can explore how to prioritize your own well-being while navigating the challenges of caregiving.

Another area close to my heart is working with older adults and their families, particularly those facing the complexities of dementia. I understand how isolating and overwhelming these experiences can feel, and I aim to provide a steady, supportive presence through the ups and downs.
For young adults, I offer a space to explore life’s transitions, pressures, and questions about identity, helping you to find clarity and confidence. I also work with parents of neurodiverse children, offering understanding and guidance as you navigate the joys and challenges of parenting in a way that honors both your child’s needs and your own.
At the core of my practice is a belief in your capacity for growth and resilience. Whatever your story, I am here to help you find your voice, reconnect with your strengths, and move forward with greater self-understanding. If you feel ready to begin this journey together, I’d love to hear from you.

"We think we listen, but very rarely do we listen with real understanding, true empathy. Yet listening, of this very special kind, is one of the most potent forces for change that I know."
